      10,000 Reasons

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

3.  John Stott's daily prayer of Christlikeness (Christopher J.H. Wright, Cultivating the fruit of the Spirit. Downers Grove, IL: InterVarsity Press, 2017, 13)

"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in your presence and please you more and more.
Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you.
Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Key passages:

Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.
Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot wash it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of his house for love
it would be utterly scorned.

Come away, my lover,
and be like a gazelle
or like a young stag
on the spice-laden mountains.
Song of Songs 8: 6-7, 14

He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22: 20

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through today's TWA passages we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.

The topic I received today from Jesus is: Come, Lord Jesus! Maranatha!

Wow! Jesus gave me and you a very important message today!

First, I will surely miss reading Song of Songs as today we read the last chapter!
Jesus guided me in a very deep sense to increase my love to Him and my loved ones especially to my wife Michelle. That is so wonderful!
And, it also helps Michelle to love Jesus and me in a deeper level! That is great!

The most important thing is that Jesus reminds me to put the last verse of Song of Songs to
Revelation 22: 20 , the last verse of the Bible together. (Well, Revelation 22: 20 is somewhat the last verse of Revelation. The real last verse 22:21 is the Grace.)

It's all about "relationship"!
If we love someone, we long for our loved one to come to us as often as possible.
The last message of the Bible which is in Revelation 22:20 uses only one Aramaic word(Jesus' mother tongue) "Maranatha" which means "Come, Lord Jesus!" (For more information of this word please click this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maranatha )

Come, my love! Come, Lord Jesus!
It's all the same!
We love Jesus and we want to be close to Him as often as we can!
We love our spouse and we want to be close to our spouse as often as we can!

I love you, Lord Jesus!
Come, Lord Jesus!
Maranatha!

Reflect on these questions:

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

     2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
