      10,000 Reasons

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

3.  John Stott's daily prayer of Christlikeness (Christopher J.H. Wright, Cultivating the fruit of the Spirit. Downers Grove, IL: InterVarsity Press, 2017, 13)

"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in your presence and please you more and more.
Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you.
Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Key passage:

“If his sons forsake my law
and do not follow my statutes,
       if they violate my decrees
and fail to keep my commands,
I will punish their sin with the rod,
    their iniquity with flogging;
but I will not take my love from him,
nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.
I will not violate my covenant
or alter what my lips have uttered.

But you have rejected, you have spurned,
you have been very angry with your anointed one.
You have renounced the covenant with your servant
and have defiled his crown in the dust.
You have broken through all his walls
and reduced his strongholds to ruins.

                                             Psalm 89:30-34, 38-40

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through today's TWA passages we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.

The topic I received today from Jesus is:  Woe to those who forsake God's command!

Jesus commanded me the past two days to encourage all of you to sing praises to God always. Today, He commanded me to warn all of you the serious consequences of forsaking His command:

    1. God's anger will be upon those who forsake His command!
    2. God will reject those who forsake His command!
    3. God will not keep the covenant with those who forsake His command!
    4. God will take out the protection of those who forsake His command!
    5. God will make the strongholds of great nations to become ruins!

Wow! All these descriptions seem coming to reality to this whole world facing with the severe attack of the pandemic sin years ago and all kinds of calamity after that. We can see ruins all over the world now!

Let's wake up and be willing to help more people to return to God.

Sing praises to the Lord always to be blessed and protected by God daily!

     Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to sing praises to you more each day that we are being blessed and protected by you daily. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

Reflect on these questions:

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

     2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
