Key passage:
These were the divisions of the descendants of Aaron:
The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as the priests. 3 With the help of Zadok a descendant of Eleazar and Ahimelek a descendant of Ithamar, David separated them into divisions for their appointed order of ministering. 1 Chronicles 24:1-3
The topic I received today from Jesus is: God first, government second, military third, clear divisions!
The way of how David set his priority and divisions give me a lot of inspiration!
The top No.1 priority of David was to appointed divisions for the service of the temple of God, and then we can see in tomorrow's passage that government divisions came in second and military divisions came in the third.
There are lots of countries take military power as top No. 1, then their government and nothing concerning with God!
How about you? Do you take top No. 1 priority for the service of God, then your family, then your work and other things?
Have you joined in the divisions of your church to serve the Lord?
Reflect on these questions:
1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?
2. What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do? Family Corner: Find an opportunity to share with your family the importance of today's message.
