“ I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. John 15:1-8
14 In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah. 15 In it he wrote, “Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die.”
16 So while Joab had the city under siege, he put Uriah at a place where he knew the strongest defenders were. 17 When the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of the men in David’s army fell; moreover, Uriah the Hittite died.
18 Joab sent David a full account of the battle.
2 Samuel 11:14-18

The topic I received today from Jesus is: David left God, he could do nothing!
But, if we are in Him, then we will be like branches in the true vine to receive everything a gardener does and we can bear much fruit!
This is the glory that we can show ourselves to be Jesus disciples!
But, today's 2 Samual 11 shows us how King David could become a murderer starting from peeping a beautiful lady taking a bath, then wickedly got her and had a baby, then killed her husband! David's sin gives us an example of what Jesus means by "apart from me you can do nothing."
I sincerely hope and pray that you can be in this true vine daily and be willing to be prune by the Gardener and can bear much fruit, to become a disciple of Christ glorifying His name!

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?
