Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in your presence and please you more and more.
Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you.
Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Key passage:

The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish[a] prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! Your prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins. You have not gone up to the breaches in the wall to repair it for the people of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord.
                                                                         Ezekiel 13:1-5

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.

The topic I received today from Jesus is: Repair the wall now!

Chapter 13 condemns the false prophets who were saying that judgment was not coming. They seduced the Jews into a false sense of security by proclaiming peace and salvation while they continued to be stubborn, rebellious and unfaithful. God would cut them off from Israel and His salvation.

Also, some women were involved in sorcery, spiritism and black magic. These women would face with the same judgment from God.

Nowadays we are in the similar situation all over the world. There are false leaders in the church who teach that a person can be a genuine believer and have eternal life with Christ, yet at the same time living in a lifestyle in sin according to the Bible, such as adultery, homosexuality or greed. Paul states that those who do such things will not inherit God's kingdom (1 Cor. 6:9, Gal. 5:21 and Eph. 5:5).

30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. 31 So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

                                                                                  Ezekiel 22:30-31

Ezekiel states clearly that as true prophets and servants of God they need to repair the wall for the house of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord.

Jesus gives me a clear command to repair the wall now as a servant of God. He wants me to deliver the same command to you that each one of God's servant has the same duty to repair the wall.

Well, the message I received today is this:
1. You need to have Jesus as your Lord and have a daily intimate relationship with Him first. Without that you can't see, you can't hear and you can't do anything Jesus commands you to do. Just false prophets and false servants of God!
2. You need the Holy Spirit to tell you where the breaks are, where to repair. They can be in your life, in your family, in your church...
3. You need to be anointed by the Holy Spirit so that you have the gifts, anointing and authority from God to repair the wall. Because that is not an easy job to do!
4. Keep on repairing, mending the wall and not like some people criticizing, accusing, breaking, destroying everything. You see something wrong, a break in the wall of God's work, why don't you go there to repair it yourself. Why you participate in the Deceiver's cunning plan to make the break bigger?!
5. Be a Prayer Warrior and join your church's prayer meeting. Try your best to join our weekly Monday to Friday Vancouver time 7am-7:30am Time with Abba prayer meeting. Please click this link to join:

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to repair the wall for your Kingdom ministries right now. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

     2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
