Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
      2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

     Praise and Thanksgiving
1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile.
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.          **Sing a song to praise the Lord

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

3.  John Stott's daily prayer of Christlikeness (Christopher J.H. Wright, Cultivating the fruit of the Spirit. Downers Grove, IL: InterVarsity Press, 2017, 13)

"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in your presence and please you more and more.
Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you.
Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Key passage:

Then the man brought me to the gate facing east, and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with his glory. The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when he[j] came to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown. The glory of the Lord entered the temple through the gate facing east. Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.

                                                                              Ezekiel 43:1-5

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.

The topic I received today from Jesus is:  God's glory and presence comes back!

Ezekiel began with a glorious vision of God's glory in the first chapter, then from chapters 8 to 11 he described how God's glory gradually departed from the temple and the city because of the people's sins. Here in Chapter 43 Ezekiel concludes with an awesome vision of God's glory coming back filling the temple again.

There are four conditions in this chapters for the glory of God to come back again:
1. The glory of God(vv. 1-5) - The glory of God in verse 2 of this chapter is very similar to Acts 2: 2. With the coming and filling of the Holy Spirit to God's people, God's glory will come back to His Church.

2. The personal relationship with God(vv. 6 to 11): God's eternal plan is to enjoy a loving, intimate and personal relationship with His people forever.

3. The law of holiness (vv. 12-17): God's people will learn in a zealous way of the Bible - God's law of holiness.

4. The perfect offering (vv. 18-27): God's people will offer to God as directed by God's perfect standard in the time when the glory of God comes back.

So, where are you in these four conditions? How is your church in these four conditions?

There are so many churches in the world nowadays are without God's glory and presence!
Sometimes when I went into churches all over the world I did not feel the glory of God there. Yes, the building was great, the painting and everything, but without the glory and presence of God!

Check that four conditions and live them out in your life. That will surely help you and your church to have God's glory and presence back to your church and to your life. For sure!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to live that four conditions out so that we can experience your glory and presence daily.  In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

     2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
