Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
      2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

     Praise and Thanksgiving
1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile.
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.          **Sing a song to praise the Lord

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

3.  John Stott's daily prayer of Christlikeness (Christopher J.H. Wright, Cultivating the fruit of the Spirit. Downers Grove, IL: InterVarsity Press, 2017, 13)

"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in your presence and please you more and more.
Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you.
Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Key passage:

“‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You have gone far enough, princes of Israel! Give up your violence and oppression and do what is just and right. Stop dispossessing my people, declares the Sovereign Lord. 10 You are to use accurate scales, an accurate ephah[i] and an accurate bath.[j] 11 The ephah and the bath are to be the same size, the bath containing a tenth of a homer and the ephah a tenth of a homer; the homer is to be the standard measure for both.12 The shekel[k] is to consist of twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels equal one mina.[l]

13 “‘This is the special gift you are to offer: a sixth of an ephah[m] from each homer of wheat and a sixth of an ephah[n] from each homer of barley. 14 The prescribed portion of olive oil, measured by the bath, is a tenth of a bath[o] from each cor (which consists of ten baths or one homer, for ten baths are equivalent to a homer). 15 Also one sheep is to be taken from every flock of two hundred from the well-watered pastures of Israel. These will be used for the grain offerings, burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to make atonement for the people, declares the Sovereign Lord.

                                                                   Ezekiel 45:9-15

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.

The topic I received today from Jesus is:  God says, "I've put up with you long enough!"

Here in this chapter describes the leaders should put an end to their oppression and cruelty to God's people because they "have gone far enough". Everyone should live in the provision of God and not to exploit the people financially.

They need to offer what God requires in order to live in God's standard and they need to do what God commands as in the Passover and the holy days so that they can be God's people.

Have you gone far enough?
How ready are you to offer what you have to God according to God's call and command?

Why in the new age when God's temple will be rebuilt and Jesus reigns still needs people's offering, complicated offerings? A very simple but hard question for us to think and answer.

What I got from Jesus today is that the line "you have gone far enough" is the answer.
Yes, because we have gone far enough!
We give 15% - 20%  tips after dinner in the restaurant and that's normal. We give more than 35% -50%tax to our government and that is the thing we have to because if not we will be in jail.

But, there are still more than 90% of Christians are not giving their tithe (10%) to God. Tithing is the basic requirement and there should be more than 10% if we really experience the living God.

God's Kingdom can not be extended because we as God's people "have gone far enough(45:9 NIV)" to use God's provision to our selfish use! The Message edition of Eugene Peterson is "I've put up with you long enough!"

What have you got today from Jesus to change your lifestyle of how you offer to God from now on so that you are no more enslaved by MONEY!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know that we have gone far enough and we have to come back to you and to live in your own standard. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

     2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
