1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

     “Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

     "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Isaiah 54:10

9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it

and making it bud and flourish,

11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
    It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passages we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.

    

The topic I received today from Jesus is:  My ways higher than your ways!

Chapter 55 shows the coming Messiah is and how everybody should come to Him. In echo to Jesus says in Matthew 11: 28 - 30:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Isaiah prophesies that God has made the Messiah a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander of the peoples. And one of the most famous verses in the Bible:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways."

declares the Lord.

"As the heaven are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts."

                                Isaiah 55: 8-9 

Isaiah 55: 8-9 is one of my most favourite golden verses in the Bible. I know that but sometimes I just can't help to do things my ways and not His ways. Especially when a storm comes you might receive bullets in every direction and you forget to call the headquarter to ask your Commander what you need to do. Most of the time when a "spiritual warfare" happens we are cut off from communication for a while. 

How can we be cut off from communication from our Commander?

Well, it should be our fear, self-righteousness, pride, anger, insecurity, burn-out, tired, laziness, evil thoughts, confusion and many more possibilities. So sad!

Jesus says to you today, "My ways higher than your ways!"

What have you got from Jesus? 

How can we be willing to have Jesus as our commander and follow His ways but not our own ways? 

How can we seek the Lord and call on Him everyday to make sure that we are on His ways and not our ways?

These are the things that the Lord is challenging you today. What is your response?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to be sure to wait for your instruction, your thoughts, your ways and your command before we move. You are our Commander, lead us Lord. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:    

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

     2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
