1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

     “Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

     "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

       Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.    

The topic I received today from Jesus is: Now arise, O Lord God, come to your resting place!

God needs our wholehearted worship so that He can rise to the highest for all to worship Him!

God does not need to have a "resting place" on earth but it is us that we need to have a "resting place" in God's temple to experience His power and mighty. His presence!

Have you been to a hugh size cathedral before? 

If you have, then you know what I mean. 

Wow! How much money and human effort spent in a Cathedral? Wow! God is great! 

But, there aren't many people in quite a number of cathedrals to worship God weekly because when people lose the daily intimate personal relationship with God, then big churches turn to just a big building!

Michelle and I attended the Sunday worship of Glasgow Cathedral on July 13, 2025, the date of our 40th Anniversary. They have only two services for the whole week, Sunday 11am and also Sunday Evensong 4pm. We attended their Sunday 11am main service with professional choral conductor, organist and a high standard choir of six members. On that Sunday, around only 70 people attended the service!

Let's offer all we have to "let God arise" just like what David and Solomon did to fill our churches with faithful disciples of Christ and Spirit-filled worship services. 

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to let you rise and be our Lord, Savior and King. In Jesus name we pray . Amen.

Reflect on these questions:    

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

     2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
