Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
      2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

     Praise and Thanksgiving
1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile.
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.          **Sing a song to praise the Lord

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in your presence and please you more and more.
Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you.
Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Key passage:

Israel served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the Lord had done for Israel.  Joshua 24: 31

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.

The topic I received today from Jesus is: Why we lose our second generation not serving God?

Jesus showed me a very painful picture of what happened to the second generation of those Israelites. Even for that famous passage of Joshua, "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."(v. 15) And with that three times declaration of the Israelites to serve the Lord(v. 18, 21 and 24), it recorded very clearly that their second generation did not serve the Lord. Why?

One youngman shared with me a few years ago, "Nobody can tell me who Jesus is until I experienced him personally. It's so simple, five minutes reading his Word and He speaks to me. But, I don't even want to give him five minutes!" Very painful true sharing! And, he left the church, and may Jesus too!l

Two days before, during our Easter Sunday Eucharist, we had a 14 years old young lady, Tabitha shared at the end of my sermon "I have seen the Lord!" of how she experienced "I have seen the Lord!" during our Sabah Mission last May and also last Thursday during our Maundy Thursday Eucharist. After her testimony I invited brothers and sisters to come out for our pastors and prayer ministry team to lay hands on that they can be able to experience "I have seen the Lord", to see and hear Jesus personally. Wow! As you can see in the photos above, lots of people came out with tears to receive the prayers! It was such a powerful Easter service!

And, the most powerful experience is that we had four young people joining our team to Sabah last May and they all had that personal encounter with Jesus and anointed by the Holy Spirit experience.

Let's try all our best to raise up more children and young people, our second and third generations to experience what Mary Magdalene experienced, "I have seen the Lord!"

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to help children and young people to build up a daily intimate personal relationship with you so that we won't lose our second generation as the Israelites did. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

    2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
