1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
      2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

     Praise and Thanksgiving

2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.          Sing a song to praise the Lord

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in your presence and please you more and more.
Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you.
Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Key passage:

When the altar was anointed, the leaders brought their offerings for its dedication and presented them before the altar. 11 For the Lord had said to Moses, “Each day one leader is to bring his offering for the dedication of the altar.”12 The one who brought his offering on the first day was Nahshon son of Amminadab of the tribe of Judah.13 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels[b] and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels,[c]both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 14 one gold dish weighing ten shekels,[d] filled with incense; 15 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 16 one male goat for a sin offering[e]; 17 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab.18 On the second day Nethanel son of Zuar, the leader of Issachar, brought his offering.19 The offering he brought was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 20 one gold dishweighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 21 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 22 one male goat for a sin offering; 23 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Nethanel son of Zuar.24 On the third day, Eliab son of Helon, the leader of the people of Zebulun, brought his offering.25 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering;                                Numbers 7:10-25

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.

The topic I received today from Jesus isTwelve Days of Honeymoon!

Good for you if you have read the whole chapter! This is such a long chapter! And are you aware that everything offered by the twelve leaders were the same? It was a copy and paste job! Why? Because God delighted in receiving all the gifts from His people. And all of them gave the same gifts, big gifts!

Jesus led me to count all twelve carefully and then led me to have some research on this chapter. Ronald Allen says:

"Here is a festival of offerings to the Lord stretching over twelve days. The chapter stands as a monument to the pleasure of God who took enjoyment from the repetition - for these were grand gifts in the good days of his early relationship with his people. These were the honeymoon days of the marital relationship of the Lord and Israel (see Jeremiah 2: 1-3). Each of the gifts is relished as presentations by a lover in the early days of the bliss of marriage."

The word of the Lord came to me: "Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem: "'I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me and followed me through the desert, through a land not sown. Israel was holy to the Lord, the firstfruits of his harvest; all who devoured her were held guilty, and disaster overtook them,'" declares the Lord.           Jeremiah 2: 1-3

Jesus told me today, "Can you see, this was how your people loved me and then later deserted me to other gods! A sweet honeymoon and then a painful marriage!" I was in tears and speechless!

Do you really love God as your God?! How much do you offer to the world? How much do you use and offer to yourself? And, how much do you offer to God recently?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Forgive me for not loving you with all my heart, with all my mind and with all my soul. Help me to love you more each day. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

    2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?
