Let Go! Let God! Let's Go!

The topic I received today from Jesus is: Let Go! Let God! Let's Go!

I bought a bumper-sticker "Let Go! Let God! Let's Go!"many years ago in the Philippines. Jesus reminded me of this when I was reading this chapter. God told Moses and Aaron many times to tell Pharaoh to "Let my people go, so that they may worship me. If not then I will...". And it was recorded that "But until now you have not listened."

Our life is a journey of "Exodus". We as human beings having the image of God lots of time thinking that we can act like God and we do not need God. Or, we are being captured by "Pharaoh" or other "kings" or "gods" being enslaved in our business, addiction, anger, fear ...

God is calling you to let go of those things obstructing you so that God can be your God. 

But, it is so tempting for us as human beings to take the position of "Pharaoh", a "god"!

       How do you know if you become Pharaoh and yet you do not know? 

      So, please check if you have those characteristics of Pharaoh in chapter 9:

       1. Not letting go of something or some people that God wants you to let go and that worshipping God can not  happen. (v. 1)

      2. Unyielding heart. (v. 7)

      3. Ignore the word of the Lord. (v. 21)

      4. Acknowledge sin but keep on sinning. (v. 27, 34)

      5. Hardening of the heart. (v. 34)

      

      If you have the above characteristics, then you are most probably a Pharaoh! Change before it is too late!

       Dear Lord Jesus,

      Help me to let go of all those things that you want me to let go so that I can go with you. Help me to change into your likeness and not stepping into Pharaoh's steps to become a Pharaoh. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:     

1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?

      

    2.  What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do?

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

     “Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

     "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
